Meissen x adidas Originals ZX 8000 Porcelain (2020)

True craftsmanship. Generations of design expertise led to an incredible collaboration that celebrated German heritage and craftsmanship, marrying Meissen’s fine art porcelain techniques with adidas’ top of the line ZX 8000 sneaker for a one of one silhouette.

Inspired by the Meissen Krater Vase and crafted by Europe’s oldest porcelain manufacturer, the pattern was created by four individual painters across three separate departments, translating 15 of the vase’s 120 different patterns onto the shoe. Hand painted porcelain overlays added an elegant finish, transforming the sneaker into an art piece rather than a shoe.
