adidas Originals ZX 9000 VA (2008)

The sweatshirt sneakers. Tokyo’s VA Styles concept store tapped into the ZX’s deep running heritage with an athletic reworking of the ZX 9000. Marl and dark grey sweatshirt fabrics were paired with velour stripes, giving the shoe a distinctly ’80s collegiate feel.

Bright, reflective yellow accents on the tongue and Torsion bar added a modern flash, ensuring the “VA” entry stood out within the A–ZX series. Rooted in heritage, but finished with a forward-looking attitude.
