adidas Originals ZX 9000 Crooked Tongues (2008)

For the 00s sneaker community. Crooked Tongues was an influential online community and retailer for sneaker enthusiasts, before being bought out in 2008. The Crooked Tongues adidas ZX 9000 dropped as a part of the adidas’ Consortium A-ZX project as an ode to the community.

The ZX 9000 launched with a gray-scale grey suede, white mesh, and black reflective stripe upper, complete with yellow trims and a distinctive carbon fiber-look TPU on the heel. Custom lace jewels and tips added another branded detail, completing the much-loved take on the ZX 9000.
