adidas Originals ZX 8500 Overkill Graffiti (2021)
An entirely new adidas ZX model. The infamous German retailer Overkill, known for its graffiti roots and sneaker drops, didn’t just remake a classic - they created a new model from two, with the ZX 8000 and 9000. The shoe embodied Berlin's graffiti scene with bright Montana Gold-like colours of pinks, purples, and greens, combined with grey "concrete" mudguards, paying homage to the city's urban art.
The release came with a black mesh shroud, to wear over the shoe to protect it from paint drips, reflecting the graffiti lifestyle. Features included stitched "Overkill" on the toe, a hybrid Overkill/flammable warning logo on the heel, and mismatched "OK" & Trefoil tags on the tongues.
