Tuned up for a new decade. Since its 2017 revival by HUF founder Keith Hufnagel and artist Hanni El Khatib, Metropolitan has reasserted itself at the heart of the skate scene. Their take on the ZX 8000, however, draws inspiration from an unexpected source: the modded car scene.
This streamlined silhouette featured a stealthy black upper of mesh and nubuck leather, punctuated by retro pink and yellow accents that nod to the late ’80s. A clear outsole showcased Metropolitan’s logo, while fuzzy sock liners added a playful hit of colour and texture.
