adidas Originals ZX 8000 Jacques Chassaing & Markus Thaler (2008)

The return of the curators. Jacques Chassaing was the designer responsible for ZX designs, and Markus Thaler was the shoe craftsman who brought them to life. The finale of the 2008 A-ZX collection offered a rare opportunity for them to revisit the ZX 8000. It became a sought-after "grail" for collectors due to its rarity and connection to the ZX legacy.

Using the most cutting-edge materials and applications available, the shoe featured a yellow premium leather upper, blue plastic heel counter, breathable purple mesh inner, and the faces of both on the tongue in appreciation of their continual contribution to adidas, all atop a blue rubber sole unit and a gold coloured Torsion system. The pictured pair is also signed by both Chassaing and Thaler.
