adidas ZX 530 L (1988)
The adidas ZX with Achilles tendon support. Designed the year after the adidas ZX 530, the adidas ZX 530L boasted an upgraded orthopaedic Achilles tendon support to the heel, alongside the polyester, polypag mesh, and synthetic suede upper, atop the already leading two-density EVA stable shock absorption midsole.
The "L" support was born from the adidas Achill in 1972 adapted 17 years later atop the adidas ZX 520 model for long-distance, high-mileage running.
