adidas ZX 5000 C (1989)
Power and protection combined. The adidas ZX 5000C was developed as a high-performance cushion shoe for committed runners. The upper used premium mesh and animal suede, and was stabilised by a unity heel counter, a revolutionary design to provide the runner with excellent rearfoot stability and the correct leg alignment.
The integrated Torsion bar dispersed impact throughout a cushioned Purolite foam midsole and durable compact rubber outsole for a better distribution of pressure and optimal surface contact when moving in all directions.
